Space Corps is a digital collectible card game where players take command of a capital ship in combat against another capital ship. Launch fighters, bombers, officers and execute battle strategies by playing the cards in your hand. The game ends when one player has destroyed the opponent's capital ship.
Space Corps will offer a free to play set of cards for all players (Grey). Players can try out the game by using their free to play deck against other player's free to play deck. Free to play decks will not be allow to play against premium decks, but paid players will still be able to use a free to play deck to play with a friend that has not yet purchased a premium deck slot.
A premium deck slot is included with each starter card pack purchased, which include enough cards one color set (Red, Blue, Orange, Green) to create a deck. Players can also purchase booster packs of cards, which include all color sets, to add to their card collection and further customize their deck.
Premium decks play in the matchmaking queue that keeps track of stats and may include rewards for completing matches as well as periodic leagues. The free to play matchmaking queue is intended as a game demo and will not keep track of stats.
The first game mode available will be 1v1 player vs player. After that, a player vs computer mode will be developed. After release of these first two game modes, a 2v2 player team game mode and a 3 player cutthroat game mode will begin development. A single player campaign mode is also a possibility.
