The game has
Discover the fractured world of You Belong in the Stars, where you travel from solar system to solar system using the ancient artifact known as the Uncompass, which you can obtain one way, or another from its residing, most powerful entities.
Engage in dogfights with smaller spacecraft or pilot larger cruisers. Choose from a wide selection of ships, each with unique combat abilities and utilities to attack, defend, or even exit your ship to fight enemies inside space stations or other vessels.
Completing quests earns you money to spend on ships and equipment, while also improving your reputation with the quest-giving organization. Meanwhile, your target’s opinion of you worsens, eventually forcing them to take action against you. The reputation system in You Belong in the Stars determines whether organizations will be friendly or hostile towards you and others.
You Belong in the Stars gives you the freedom to explore its vast solar and star systems, but traveling between them is no simple task. Your mission is to gather ancient artifacts known as Uncompasses, which enable travel between systems and galaxies, each one bringing you closer to a mysterious point in the universe. What awaits at your final destination?
You can read the roadmap on the main page. Here I will list the features present in the demo, I know its a little rough but I hope you can enjoy it
2 origins you can choose from with different weapons, armor, ships, and potential quests
quests featuring dogfighting, less complex boss ships and boarding and fighting on foot inside enemy spaceports
a small variety of purchasable ships. Some of these are too big for the current hangars, but they also have an unreasonable price tag on them.
the first solar system of the game
inventory and looting
Ever since I published the demo I got valuable feedback that led me to fix crashes, and bugs and implement quality-of-life changes. If you notice any issues please leave feedback so I can fix them. I will list some issues that are known, but I couldn't fix them yet:
some alien ships with the snow-like bullets cause issues
spawning ships while you have other ships in the hangar can cause issues. Please park somewhere else for a day or two
Also, I am aware that the UI is not up to certain, or any standards, and I avoided it for too long to give proper care to it.
