Overview

  • Rickstones is a multiplayer (1 vs 2-8) horror game where one player becomes the Caretaker, while the other players are his student victims trying to escape the grounds... or survive the night in Rickstones School.

Students

  • The ultimate goal for the students is to survive, this can be achieved by escaping the school grounds with their lives in tact or by trying to survive until morning... they can team up and try to overpower the Caretaker to create small windows of opportunity to escape.. or they can play every man for themselves, stay out of the Caretakers way and let him cut down the others whilst using their sacrifices to slip away unseen.

The Caretaker

  • The Caretaker.. well, he takes care of the school grounds, those are his grounds and he knows them better than anybody else. He will stalk, hunt and brutally kill his victims with an array of diffent executions, abilities and traps, before the night is done.

Noise Detection
  • The Caretaker will see sound waves appearing from any students moving within his proximity at their last know location every few seconds, Students should try to move quietly in his proximity in order to not alert him to their position.

Noise Distractions
  • There are various ways to make noise, because The Caretaker has Noise Detection, making noise can also be used to try to distract or lure him away from an area. Setting off the fire alarm's is a good way to distact him as it'll cause him to see sound waves all over the map whilst the bells are going off, making it harder for him to track students.

Sense Heightening Ability
Activating the Sense Heightening ability will enhance The Caretakers senses for a short duration by:

  • Hearing - All ambient/weather sounds as well as his own footsteps will be muted and the sound of all students footsteps within his proximity will be increased. He will also be able to hear the racing heatbeat of students if they're near.
  • Sight - Brightness will be increased to help see in darker environments and the footprints of students will be burned into the ground which will stay visible for the duration that the ability is active.

Key Features

  • Executions - The caretaker has access to an array of different executions as well as some enviorment based executions to deliver the final blow to put that student down for good.
  • Abilities - The caretaker can use abilities such as Sense Heightening for a short time to allow him to focus on his surroundings, enhancing his hearing and sharpening his vision.
  • Stats - Each student will have their own strengths and weaknesses, offering the chance for players to excel in certain situations over others.
  • Movement - Most students can move quicker than the caretaker, doors can be locked to delay him or windows can be used to make a quick exit, certain doors can also be unlocked to create shortcuts throughout the map.
  • Noise Detection - The Caretaker has enhanced hearing.. when close to him, students will need to move quietly in order to not alert him to their position.
  • Distraction - There are various ways for students to make noise across the school.. because of the caretakers enhanced hearing, making noise can be used to distract him and lure him in or away from an area.
  • Survive or Escape - Survive until morning, or find a way out of the school!
