About the Game Mechanics:
In LEENIE'S TALE, you'll be immersed in an engaging story through cutscenes that will accompany you throughout the game, as well as an interactive environment that will help you learn more about the history of this world. These cutscenes will help you better understand the character and their motivations, smoothly guiding you through the game's events so you won't get lost in the chaos.
As you progress, you'll unlock various abilities. Starting with a simple sprint and eventually learning how to open ventilation shafts to create hiding spots and alternate routes. Athletes might envy your sprinting skills... or at least in your dreams, you'll run like an Olympic champion.
You can interact with the environment to try to hide from the monster. Whether it's a ventilation shaft or a box you can hide behind, or maybe you'll climb inside a closet. You are free to hide wherever you like. Just remember to check for spiders—they don’t like monsters either!
Use improvised items to your advantage. Found a mug? Why not throw it to create a noise distraction? Or maybe toss it at the approaching monster to slow it down. Or perhaps you'll arm yourself with a pot? The choice is yours.
Your arsenal also includes a flashlight. It will be your trusty companion in dark places where you wish there was more light. But remember, the flashlight's beam makes you more visible, complicating your attempts to sneak past the monster or sneak up on it. Choose the right moments to use the flashlight wisely to remain unnoticed, or you might end up explaining to the monster that you're just an intern recently hired as a train driver.
The game also features two modes: standard and hard. Switching to hard mode doesn't just make the game tougher—it completely changes the atmosphere, even altering the background music. Think you're brave? Try the hard mode and find out just how brave you really are!
